At Mike's suggestion, I sent this on to the Corporate Headquarters. They have requested I call immediately, and give a certain reference number. Hmm.
Sounds like they are aware of the vast influence of the blogosphere. I am so very important, it seems. Who knew?
(Or, you know, that's like standard procedure, or something.)

Good for you! I am glad that you sent a letter! Keep us posted, please? Cuz like I said, I would have blondly, blindly done whatever the guy said thinking he was "official". Now I am suspicous and aware...thanks for making me aware. If nothing else, you probably saved someone (like blond me) from...well....myself and maybe some lunatic posing as a Target Security Employee. "Dear God...Please Give Holy Mama and extra jewel in her crown for making me and probably others more aware of security employees...or the posing thereof."
Hugs,
Suzi
Wow, that's crazy. I must have missed that whole post a while back. One time my Mom went to Target and got harassed by the guy that tries to get you to sign up for a target credit card. My Dad got involved and there was a big commotion. In the end, I think the guy was seriously reprimanded and then sent to another location. It was pretty bad though!!
I know what you mean about the return policy there, I hate it!! I had all kinds of problems when I registered for wedding and baby. Ugh!!
Glad you're taking a stand and doing something about it. What a jerk that guy was!! Hopefully they'll handle it correctly this time!!
Hey, do post about how it goes. I'm probably going to have to deal with a mega-millions corporate office soon too. Check it out:

Okay friend, I am a little behind on the reading. Glad I got to hear about your Target escapade in person. (is that the way you spell escapade?) Thanks for the wonderful evening with friends. The food, the company, the friendship was wonderful. The time with the girls was great. Thank you so much for encouraging me the other night. You are a jewel!
And you sent them the link? Oh, my.
I wouldn't settle for anything less than a formal apology. And maybe a gift card or something.
Can't wait for the follow-up post on this.
