Joining in Shannon's Works for Me Club this week!
Rest up, Shannon, and take care! (have you tried the Zicam swabs you stick up your nose? i haven't, but i've heard great things.)
LOVING the game "Apples to Apples." Tomorrow I'm going to track down this version:
Recommeded!
(Now I'm off to bed)
Updated: that should be 'recommeNded.' Spell-check. Works for me. (When I use it.)

hi stacitee,
isn't it great how i kept it SOOO concise that you don't even know what's so great about it? now that's some good blogging.
i like the conversations that get sparked. i like how you can call it quits at any time - so if you have just 20 minutes to play that's ok. i'll try the JR version, and let you know how good it would be for a 4 yr old. The regular version wouldn't work that well, but it's worth it if you ever want a good game for a small, casual dinner party.
We play the regular game even with younger kids. SOmetimes someone helps our 4 year old read her cards, but more often she just lays down any ol' card down, which creates fun answers too. And she is just as good as anyone at being the judge. We play this often with the little kids...
Mary, mom to many
We just got it for Christmas and have played it too many times to count. We love it!!!
I've never seen the "adult" version. The Jr. game is GREAT for kids and adults alike. It has become one of our family favorites. When we had friends over with young children, we broke out this game and all played. What fun!!
I hope you can get it!!!
We have done almost nothing since the weekend after Thanksgiving BUT play Apples to Apples. It's hilarious! (Trying to figure out who's thinking what, whether to play for the win or for the laugh, he hee.) It was our Christmas gift from our daughters, but thankfully they let us open it early!
I really like the variation where you play TWO green cards, and then choose the best red to match both.
BTW, happy New Year! Stop over and let me know what you think of the new blog. :D
I don't think it refers to the nose swabs but there is a possible side-effect of using the nasal spray from Zicam that hasn't been refuted nor fully confirmed.

If I may ask, what do you like about this game? I have a 4 year old who LOVES to play games... would it be appropriate for young children? Thanks!
