I got pulled over. 70 mph in a 65. She gave me a warning, but I'm supposed to be wearing contacts and am not, (like, EVER) so I have to call a judge. Isn't that a weird system?
"Oh, you're not wearing contacts? Here's a judge's phone number. Call him and see what he thinks about that."
It's just a little too much like when I tell the kids, "Oh, really? You won't blah-de blah blah? Your dad's almost home, and you can discuss it with him."
I really, really do not want to call that judge and confess that I was without corrective lenses, per license requirements. Do I get a stern talking-to? Time out? Rap on the hand, via phone? Do I actually talk to the judge, or is it just someone in the judge's office?
Maybe I have issues with authority. And maybe I really should not have been speeding on the way to church.

I agree with jennybee. I'd call. If you don't it might bite you in the butt later on. If you do, the judge will probably just laugh, tell you not to do it again, and that's the end of it. Of course, this is from a girl who knows almost zilch about our legal system, but it's what I'd do anyway.
What? Call the judge?? My husband has a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and was a police officer for awhile. I've never heard of being ordered to call the judge!?!? Have you ever mentioned where you live? (You may not want to and that's perfectly ok!!) This just sounds so weird. Be sure to keep us posted! I'd love to hear the outcome of this one!!
oh I am curious too... I am a cop and I, first can't believe she would pull you over going 5 miles over.. 2nd that she would tell you to call the judge.... NEVER heard of that one.. Our judges would chew us out if we had people calling his office!
If she said call, I would call and find out whats going on.-- :-) let me know.

I think the judge would be surprised to get a phone call -- what's he supposed to say? Um...next time you drive, wear your contacts, OK?
Can't wait to see your new design!
